Posted June 29, 2018 04:19:46Swastika is a German word meaning ‘the star’ and was the symbol of Nazi Germany during World War II.
In 2016, the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance published a book titled Swastikas World: The History and Culture of the Nazi Symbol.
The book describes how the Nazi swastika is used as a mark of honour, as a way of recognising those who were killed, wounded or deported during World Wars I and II.
It also mentions that some swastikas were made to commemorate the death of a person’s grandfather or great-grandfather.
